The Rebirth of a Language
The words we almost lost.
Born Daout in 1922 in Yevpatoria, Crimea, David Rebi devoted his life to preserving the Krymchak language and culture. His definative work records the voice of a community that was lost, silenced by the horrors of the Holocaust. This site is dedicated to his memory in the hope that the Kremchak language will be spoken again.
